This year, the Foundation Bernardaud is presenting an unusual exhibition devoted to decorative art. THE IDEA: Toys as metaphor. "Toys evoke in us as adults the familiar, the safe, the memories of childhood where imagination fueled our creativity. Now imagine those iconic toys of our childhood all grown up, with the necessary complications of adulthood, the addition of facade and artifice , morality, passion guilt and comedy. These images evoke a loss of innocence, a sense of nostalgia and a profound feeling of irony."
